"The mountains aren't just places you visit — they're places that change you."
— Anna & Jason, Co-FoundersAn Australian-based adventure company born between the Alps of France and the coastline of Australia. We connect ambitious travellers with the world's most experienced high-altitude guides — safely, transparently, and with integrity.
Nomads of Altitude is an Australian-based adventure company developed between the Alps of France and the coastline of Australia. We connect ambitious travellers with the world's most experienced high-altitude guides and reputable local operators.
Our approach combines international expedition experience with carefully vetted regional expertise. Whether your goal is Everest Base Camp, Kilimanjaro, Aconcagua, Denali, Kang Yatse, or any high-altitude trek — we help you identify the right objective, secure the right operator, and prepare properly for the environment you are entering.
Nomads of Altitude was shaped by a shared belief: the most meaningful mountain experiences are guided by people who truly live in these environments.
The concept began in Nepal. Anna was trekking to Everest Base Camp, discovering the scale and perspective that high places demand. Jason was focused on high-altitude objectives — including Manaslu and Annapurna — approaching the mountains with structured preparation and disciplined progression. Their paths crossed briefly, but the idea remained.
What if adventure travel could be structured differently? What if travellers were matched not just to destinations, but to the right operators, realistic preparation standards, and transparent risk frameworks?
Over time, that concept evolved into Nomads of Altitude. Anna continued building her alpine experience in France through alpinism, paragliding above Lake Annecy, and skydiving — deepening her understanding of risk, progression, and human performance in exposed environments. Jason operates a specialist altitude training facility in Australia, using hypoxic systems to help climbers and trekkers prepare for high-altitude environments in a controlled setting — reinforcing a preparation-first philosophy for serious objectives.
Nomads of Altitude brings those perspectives together: experiential depth and operational discipline.
We work with established local operators and internationally certified guides who specialise in their regions — professionals we have travelled, climbed, or collaborated with directly.
We do not promote generic itineraries. We assess your experience, fitness, objectives, and risk tolerance — then recommend an expedition aligned with your profile.
High-altitude environments demand respect. Our process includes:
Developed across Europe and Australia, Nomads of Altitude operates with a global mindset — respecting both the emotional draw of the mountains and the operational realities required to approach them responsibly.
Anna's background spans trekking, alpinism, paragliding, and skydiving. She brings a strong appreciation for the experiential side of adventure — the human connection, the psychological growth, and the lasting perspective that high places can provide.
Her focus is on creating journeys that are meaningful, not transactional.

These experiences built a deep respect for wild environments and for the professionals who operate within them. Nomads of Altitude exists to connect that respect with opportunity.
